Adapter Deutsch 6-pin to OBD II
Maritime engines of the Steyr MO series can be read out with a commercially available K-Line adapter. The necessary Software Engine Diagnostics Tool (EDT) can be downloaded free of charge from the manufacturer as a full version.
There is a nine-pin connector for the diagnostic adapter on the engine. With this adapter cable, you can use a K, KL or KKL adapter to read out the engine data and error codes on your PC and, maybe (depending on the engine model) calibrate the instruments or adjust the engine characteristics.
This adapter cable alone is not enough! You still need an interface like our KL902 OBD USB KL diagnostic interface. Additionally a suitable third-party software is required.
If your boat uses the OBD2 protocol, you can use the ELM327mini and one of the free ELM programs.
