The board can be soldered between the soldering tags of numerous OBD 2 plugs and then allows the connection via an 8-pin pin header or similar to another board or circuit. The two ground pins of the OBD connector are already connected by the adapter board.

The board is labeled on both sides so that it can be used in male and female plugs/sockets. The imprint "4male" must be legible if the board is used with a plug and "4female" for female sockets. The half soldering eye marked with "1" must be on the top left when looking at the connector from behind, if the broad side of the connector collar (with the GND pins) is facing up.
